MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY:

One of my main professional goals is to break the colonized norm of hierarchy within educational settings while shifting the majority of the labor away from the “expert,” to create a more COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT with greater participation.

i do this by encouraging fellow collaborators, not to be mere “receptacles” of information, but ACTIVE & CURIOUS PARTICIPANTS more so guiding ME, rather than reversed.

i invite people, both individuals & couples, to let me know what THEIR needs are within a Q/A setting instead of lecture style. Co-collaborators (commUNiTY + collaborators) come to me with their questions, in a safe environment, where i give support, knowledge and expertise in response. This way co-collaborators get their individual needs met collectively, while also fostering CONNECTion & commUNiTY with me, which lays the foundation to do the same with others.

ALL questions relating to decolonizing &/or healthy interpersonal relationships are welcomed, whether a beginner or more experienced.

For individual sessions, i prefer to use Signal app via text/voice notes unless accommodations are required.

For couples i use Zoom (will likely change at some point).

PRICING:

INDIVIDUAL: 30 min session $200, 1 hr $400

COUPLE [LIMITED SPACES]: 90 mins $450

TERMS OF COACHING SERVICES:

The information, guidance, and coaching services provided by Asiatu Lawoyin are intended to inspire as well as support personal growth & development. However, these services are NOT a substitute for professional advice from medical, legal, financial, or psychological professionals. They are NOT A LICENSED THERAPIST.

By participating in coaching sessions or utilizing any resources provided by Asiatu Lawoyin you acknowledge and agree that:

1. Personal Responsibility: You are fully responsible for the decisions and actions you take based on the guidance as well as information provided during coaching. Any changes in your life, health, or well-being that result from your participation in coaching are entirely your responsibility.

2. Safety & anonymity: Asiatu Lawoyin is a safe space and prioritizes harm reduction to keep their sessions as such. They are not bound by the obligations of reporting that therapists are. However, they also require safety of themselves and their clients via setting the boundary to not engage or speak about illegal activities. If at anytime this boundary is disrespected, they reserve the right to end the session and potentially end the business relationship altogether.

3. No Guarantees: While Asiatu Lawoyin is committed to supporting you, there is no guarantee that specific results or outcomes will be achieved as a result of the coaching process.

4. Not a Substitute for Professional Services: Coaching is not a replacement for therapy, counseling, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are advised to consult appropriate professionals for such matters.

5. Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asiatu Lawoyin disclaims any liability for any damages, losses, or injuries arising directly or indirectly from your participation in coaching, including but not limited to physical, emotional, financial, or psychological harm.

6. Voluntary Participation: Your engagement in coaching is voluntary, and you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk. You agree to hold Asiatu Lawoyin harmless for any outcomes or consequences arising from coaching sessions.

i would be happy to be share my sociological expertise & lived experiences as an online speaker/panelist or offer a COLLABORATIVE class/workshop teaching HARM REDUCTION. My education focuses on ways to deconstruct systemic norms of white primacy, including but not limited to anti-Black racism, misogynoir/misogyny, neuroableism, childism, etc. My goal is for people to be authentic safe spaces for Black &/or marginalized people by healing, connecting & building commUNiTY.
